Cases and Conversations in Glaucoma Care – Effectively Lowering IOP with Rho Kinase Inhibition

Access Activity

Overview / Abstract:

Activity Overview
This Cases and Conversations™ is a video-based program in which two experts use a case-based approach to discuss the role of rho kinase (ROCK) inhibitors in targeting the conventional outflow pathway in the treatment of glaucoma. In this activity, the faculty focus on several mechanisms of action (MOAs) that inhibition of rho kinases provide to lower IOP as well as supporting evidence for available agents. This engaging format is designed to help clinicians incorporate newer glaucoma treatments into practice to improve outcomes for their patients with glaucoma.

Target Audience
This online educational activity is directed toward ophthalmologists and other health care professionals who would be involved in treating glaucoma with rho kinase inhibition.

Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:
• Apply clinical trial evidence for incorporation of ROCK inhibitors into treatment plans of patients with glaucoma
• Describe the mechanisms of action of ROCK inhibitors which leads to reduction of intraocular pressure in patients with glaucoma
• Discuss investigational applications of ROCK inhibition in other ophthalmic diseases
