Activity Overview
This online educational activity is designed to provide expert interpretation of new and emerging data on the treatment of osteoporosis in men, with a forward-looking perspective on how the use of new and novel agents in men might impact clinical practice. An overview of male osteoporosis, as well as current and emerging treatment strategies, will be presented in a multimedia format, including a series of video interviews with expert thought leaders integrated into text-based elements.
Target Audience
This educational activity is directed toward primary care clinicians, geriatricians, endocrinologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other health care professionals involved in the management of male patients with or at risk of developing osteoporosis.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:
• Describe the disease burden of osteoporosis on male patients
• Review guideline recommendations for the management of male patients with osteoporosis
• Assess clinical trial data for currently available therapies for osteoporosis in male patients
• Evaluate clinical trial data for emerging agents to treat osteoporosis in male patients
