Target Audience

The intended audience for this activity is neurologists, family medicine physicians, internists, and other health care professionals involved in the management of patients with Alzheimer’s disease.

Statement of Need/Program Overview

This activity will cover the pathophysiology of Alzheimer’s disease and the importance of early diagnosis, as well as the clinical evidence supporting the use of conventional and recently approved therapies.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

Assess the pathophysiology and rationale for the early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease (AD).
Examine the clinical evidence regarding conventional, recently approved, and emerging therapies for the treatment of patients with AD including impact on future treatment paradigms.
