Overview / Abstract:

Target Audience

This activity has been designed for clinicians interested in the management of patients with obesity. Specialties include primary care providers, cardiologists, endocrinologists, obstetricians/gynecologists, and rheumatologists.

Program Overview

Obesity continues to become more prevalent in the United States, and with it, patients’ health and quality of life are diminished by increased incidence of conditions such as obstructive sleep apnea. The majority of clinicians are uncertain addressing obesity and weight loss for and with their patients out of fear of alienating the patient. Clinicians seek education to help foster weight loss to aid patients in achieving their health goals.
