Target Audience
This activity is designed specifically for primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, social workers/case managers, and other health professionals who serve patients in rural and underserved communities.

Program Overview
The delivery of HIV test results is an important interaction between clinician and patient and an opportunity to ensure that patients are linked to care and support services. This video, which is Part 1 of a three-part series titled Patient-Centered HIV Care in Rural and Underserved Communities: Strategies for Improving Communication, Engagement, and Support, demonstrates how to deliver HIV test results effectively and compassionately. Key points of information to provide patients as they receive their results about disclosure and partner notification will also be reviewed.
