Target Audience

This activity is intended for neurologists, physiatrists, orthopedic surgeons, residents, fellows, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physical therapists, and occupational therapists who manage patients with spasticity and movement disorders.

Program Overview

This activity provides an overview of how to identify muscles/other structures with ultrasound and procedural guidance for botulinum neurotoxin injections, including scanning tips and guidance techniques for the safe and effective use of botulinum neurotoxin injection for treatment of movement disorders

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

Assess guidance techniques for the safe and effective injection of botulinum toxinBoNT in patients with cervical dystonia, limb dystonias, and spasticity
