Overview / Abstract:

Target Audience

This activity is intended for neurologists, physiatrists, orthopedic surgeons, residents, fellows, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physical therapists, and occupational therapists who manage patients with spasticity and movement disorders.

Program Overview

This activity reviews utilization of ultrasound guidance for optimizing botulinum neurotoxin (BoNT) injections in the shoulder girdle region including pattern recognition, scanning tips, and needle guidance techniques.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

Discuss ultrasound scanning techniques for identification of muscles, nerves, and bones in the shoulder and arm region
Identify muscles, nerves, and bones in the shoulder and arm
