Overview / Abstract: |
Small exotics frequently require medications that are compounded into appropriate strengths and dosage forms. However, these species are often the ones pharmacists are least familiar with. This session will cover some of the important anatomy and physiology differences when treating small exotics versus dogs and cats. At the end of the session, participants will be better prepared to be a collaborative part of the care team for their small exotic patients. The American College of Apothecaries (ACA) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. ACA has accredited this program for 1.0 contact hour (0.1 CEUs) of continuing education credit for pharmacists and technicians |
