Overview / Abstract: |
This 30 minute CME program highlights the latest expert consensus on best practices for the treatment of persons with Cushing’s disease. Cushing’s disease is caused by an adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH)-secreting pituitary tumor. Optimal patient outcomes require an accurate diagnosis, proper selection of individualized treatment, and good management of the disease and its associated comorbidities. The program features two experts, Maria Fleseriu, MD, Professor of Medicine and Neurological Surgery at Oregon Health and Science University and Beverly Biller, MD, Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, who were actively involved in the recently published consensus on the diagnosis and management of Cushing’s disease in Lancet Diabetes Endocrinology. |
