Overview / Abstract: |
The Introduction to Critical Care Ultrasound Live Training Course provides participants a strong foundation to perform the core critical care ultrasound applications as outlined in the most recent WINFOCUS and ACEP ultrasound practice guidelines. This course is taught by leading critical care ultrasound experts and incorporates comprehensive lectures, interactive case presentations, system optimization, and needle guidance sessions. Extensive hands-on scanning sessions feature a 3:1 faculty to participant ratio with live standardized patient models and inanimate phantoms. Participants gain improved competence and are able to immediately integrate the skills learned into clinical practice. Each participant receives scanning checklists and log of exams performed to use for hospital credentialing if needed. For the most comprehensive Critical Care Ultrasound education, combine the Introductory level course with the Advanced Emergency Medicine or Critical Care Ultrasound course to augment scanning skills and expand diagnostic/ interventional services and improve patient safety and satisfaction. A combined tuition discount is offered along with cost-savings associated with travel expenses. |
