Despite guideline-directed medical therapy, many patients with heart failure (HF) with reduced ejection fraction continue to experience worsening HF and hospitalizations. As such, it is incumbent upon clinicians to improve familiarity and competence with available therapies and clinical trial data that may guide patient selection to individualize and optimize therapy for patients with HF. HF is a complex disease associated with adverse outcomes and poor quality of life for patients. It is also a significant driver of hospitalizations and readmissions.
