Join faculty experts from the Center for Digestive Health at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health for this half-day course on the latest evidence-based diagnosis and management strategies for gastrointestinal and hepatological diseases, designed for clinicians caring for patients in the primary care setting. Topics will address GI conditions commonly seen in primary care, including the latest options for managing gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), alcohol-related liver disease (ALRD) and alcohol use disorder (AUD). This course will focus on integrating endoscopic and hepatologic approaches for comprehensive liver disease management, implementing innovative care models to improve outcomes for patients with inflammatory bowel syndrome (IBS), and recognizing and managing colorectal cancer in younger populations. It will also address the utilization of appropriate imaging techniques for accurate diagnosis and management of gallstones and gallbladder polyps, distinguishing between C. difficile colitis and colonization, and managing recurrent or severe infections and bloating. |
