Brief overview of HIV infection, its cause and mechanism, plus modes of transmission and infection control procedures. Presents the basic components of HIV antibody testing and confirmation and includes clinical management of HIV patients. Summarizes the main components of the Florida Omnibus AIDS Act. This course meets the HIV 1-unit continuing education requirement for healthcare providers in Florida. When you finish this course, you will be able to: *Report on the demographics of the AIDS epidemic in the 2000s. |
