As interest grows around the clinical use of methylene blue, pharmacy professionals are encountering new therapeutic possibilities across infectious disease, neurology, anti-aging, and mitochondrial health. This program provides a clear overview of methylene blue’s evolving role in practice, including recent research on conditions such as Lyme disease, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, COVID-19, recurrent UTIs, and chronic inflammatory syndromes. You will explore methylene blue’s mechanisms of action, including its antioxidant effects, influence on mitochondrial energy production, and potential nootropic benefits.

The session also reviews key pharmacology, dosing considerations, safety parameters, contraindications, and adverse effects. Practical guidance for working with methylene blue in the compounding lab is included, offering tips to reduce contamination, manage staining, and improve workflow efficiency.
